Award winning singer Whitney Houston dead at aged 48. She was found dead at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, 15:55 (LA time), on the eve of music biggest night, the Grammy Awards. It is reported that she was found by Ray J in a bathtub. She died at a hotel her mentor Clive Davis was throwing a Grammy pre-party.
Whitney was discovered at age 22 by Clive Davis in New Jersey. She released multi albums and starred in movies including “I Will Always Love You”, “Emotional” and starred in “Bodyguard”.
Houston married Bobby Brown in 1992, in that marriage she had daughter Bobbi Kristina (18). They were divorced in 2007, after years of her struggles with alcohol and drug abuse. In 2009 is released her last album, which was a comeback.
Tributes are pouring in from musicians alike and high celebrities, such as Aretha Franklin, Dolly Patton, Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Bruno Mars. It has been confirmed that Jenifer Hudson will sing a tribute to Whitney at the 55th Grammy Awards on Sunday (Monday SA time).
The case of her death is still unknown. She’s survived by her mother Cissy and daughter Bobbi Kris.
